Well, the term is officially half over. In the past 2 weeks I've taken exams in New Testament and Theology. In the next 2 weeks I have an Old Testament Exam and a 20 page paper on the book of Judges, and shortly after I have a 20 page paper on the book of Romans. Classes are going well, very overwhelming at times, but I'm learning a lot. It's fun diving into God's word on such a deep level.
Between all the studying, reading, homework, ministry involvement and life in general, this picture pretty much describes my stress level the past week or so...

This weekend I went to Cannon Beach for a day with a group of friends. The coast is about 75 miles from Portland. I finally saw this side of the Pacific. It was a great day. I've been struggling with the cloudiness and constant rain here in Portland. (After 3 years in Okinawa, I must say I've come to love the sun) So I was pretty stoked that today was a sunny day. It felt weird bundling up to go to the beach. The Oregon coast is always cold, you have to have a wet suit to go in the water. But, the sun was out, I was bundled up, and I enjoyed listening to the crashing waves. It was a great day of resting and refreshment.
Here's a few pics of the beach...
