We always strap down the lid to our garbage bin with a strong bungy cord, but apparently the cord isn't strong enough. A bear managed to undo it and went through our can during the night - dragging garbage all over our yard and into the woods.
Here's another little rascal who also managed to create a mess for us.
He chewed through our rubermaid garbage can where we store birdseed.
Oh the joys of living in the Northwoods!
