On our way home from our mission trip in Mikepercs, Hungary, we spent an afternoon/evening in the capital city. Budapest is a really pretty old city. I think the architecture is cool. Last year we made the same stop - this year was at least 20 degrees cooler, so that made walking around a little nicer.
We walked around Heroes Square and an old castle. We then made our way downtown to St. Stephen's Basilica, however we ended up getting a little turned around in the process and it started raining so we stopped at a restaurant for dinner and to stay dry. We ended up finding the Basilica afterwards and then loaded the vans to head to our hotel for the night. Because of the rain, chill factor, and everyone being pretty tired, we ended up not going to the Citadel and Old Palace for a city skyline view like we did last year.
