Today I drove up to Timberline on Mt. Hood, just an hour and half away. Its elevation is 6,000 ft. It snowed 4' there last night. It was so beautiful. The sun was out and the sky was a blue as it could get. I haven't felt snow since the spring of 2004. When I left ND, I thought I'd never miss the snow, but I must say, it was fun stomping through it and throwing snowballs.
Oregon is such a diverse place. To think, last weekend I was going barefoot on a gorgeous beach, throughout the week I've been going out of my way to step on crunchy fallen leaves, and this weekend I was in boots walking through knee deep snow! Pretty crazy.
