This past weekend I went to the Japanese gardens with some friends. They'd advertised a Japanese Fest, where all proceeds would go to Japanese earthquake/tsunami relief. There were some really pretty cherry blossom trees in bloom and a koi pond with huge fish. It wasn't quite like the cherry blossom festivals I remembered going to in Okinawa, as there wasn't that many trees and the gardens were smaller than I anticipated, but it was fun. One of the other gals who also went had lived in Japan too - mainland, working with a Cadence Hospitality House. We were hoping for some good Japanese food, however they didn't any. We enjoyed trying out an Asian restaurant in downtown K-Town afterwards.
