It's peak tulip season across the Netherlands! We spent an afternoon at a place called Keukenhof near Lisse - it's one of the world's largest flower gardens and it was awesome. I had some friends visit the same gardens in the past 2 weeks, and they said they tulips weren't as great as when I was there.
This was right outside the gardens. There are fields like this all over the countryside. Many farmer allow you to come in and cut a few stems. It seems like most just grow the tulips for the bulbs, not to sell the flower stems. The reds and yellows were really bright.
They had a lot of unique color combos and different types of tulips throughout the park.
