Happy New Year!! Welcome to 2011, a whole new decade. I spent the New Year's weekend with CSM friends in Stuttgart (about 2 hours south of Ramstein), and had a great time. Germans go all out for New Years Eve - there aren't special firework shows done by villages or cities, but the locals buy their own fireworks and set them off in the streets. We joined the neighbors in setting off a lot of fireworks (over 150 Euro worth, approx. $200). And we were able to enjoy many other people's fireworks throughout the night.
